Acceptable use of Mobile Phones

I’m sure this won’t be the last time I write something about a newly marketed idea for mobile phones that is a waste of time and money. It’s understandable that mobile phone companies and makers latch onto new ideas that will sell their mobile phones, I’m sure that the ability to download the latest crazy frog ringtone is a big marketing tool in the market for selling phones. The ability to send and receive videos affected even me, I love being able to send the latest video of a friend doing something stupid and drunken to all his/her mates. Today however I went to the foxtel site to check up on the latest available packages and found that foxtel and telstra have teamed up to bring you Foxtel by Phone. I kid you not, you can now log into your foxtel from your mobile phone. For a mere $12 a month you’ll never have to leave the TV not even when you’re trying to get out of the house. Forget about screen sizes making the ability to pick out details almost impossible or that you won’t be able to drive and watch at the same time, that phone batteries get chewed up quite quickly by displaying videos nor the fact that at the best of times there is very little to watch on foxtel, who needs to worry about those things when you can bask in the warm glow of television right from your mobile phone. Common sense people, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, keep whats left of your life away from the television intact.
